FOUR WEEKS OLD

Holy Cow! I can't believe that Cadence is already a month old! It is going by so fast! Yesterday I was storing all of her Preemie clothes because she is too big for them (But the newborn clothes are still a little big HAHA). I was crying because she is changing and growing so fast! It just makes me realize that I need to cherish every moment I have with her!

Ryan is so cute with her! He calls her his little monster because she FARTS like a monster. When he gets home the first thing he wants to do is hold her. I am so proud of what a good Dad he is to her! I love them both so much and am so blessed to have such wonderful family!!

Our new addition

Cadence was born on December 31st 2008 at 5:35 am. She was 5 pounds 10 ounces and 18 inches long.

My water broke on the 30th at 4:30 pm while I was taking a nap (but that sure woke me up). I woke up Ryan and he was so excited!!! After being admitted to the hospital for a few hours they FINALLY found a vein to start the IV. Then I got the WONDERFUL epidural and finally got to relax. Because I wasn't progressing on my own, they gave me pitocin to make me progress more. Not much happened from then until about 2 am. I finally dilated to an 8 around 3 am and they called in the DR. Before the Doctor came in the nurse checked me one more time and said that she was about an inch and a half away from coming out! WOW!! So, in comes the Doctor and after 8 quick pushes she came out. SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!! It was an awesome experience! Ryan, my mom and my sister Natalie were all there and were so helpful!!

More of Cadence's Room

We finally finished the nursery!! Wahoo!! After Ryan spent a few nights after work painting (Thanks honey!). Heather came over to help with the decorations (Thanks Heather!). We still need to get a little more wallpaper to fill in some spots and I think we may have went a little overboard on the stickers, but I don't care!! We did it ourselves! Then we had so much fun figuring out how to put together the swing, stroller & bouncer. Sheesh! They are harder to put together than they look. Having it finished really gives us a reality check! She is coming!! Although it is really scary we are also so excited to welcome her to our new family! Ryan just keeps saying "She better not surprise us and be a boy!" HAHA Especially after we got so much girl stuff.

My baby showers were so much fun! We are so spoiled that we got 3!! One from the Cutrights, one from the Winnett's and one from my work! They were all so much fun and made me realize how much support I have! We are so grateful for the AWESOME things we got. The nursery, clothes, and furniture are all taken care of!! Now all we need is Cadence :o) Thank you to everyone who gave us presents! We love you all!!

We finally got the Crib Set for the nursery. Soooooo cute! It is dragonflies, pink and light yellow. We are so excited to work on Cadences room. Tonight we went to the store and got the paint. Ryan is already peeling off the old wallpaper. Once we have made some progress, I will take some pictures to post.

I can't believe she is coming so fast!! only 2 1/2 months to go! I am getting pretty freaked out! Am I ready? Will I ever be ready? We finally got the results back from the last ultra sound and all is well, no more low amniotic fluid (phew) and the heart and brain look great! Now it is the waiting game and i am growing bigger and bigger!!

Last week we became official "Home Owners"!! I feel like so much has happened in the last year, we have been so blessed! It is like the fast track to growing up! HAHA - I don't think I will ever REALLY grow up!
